Brendan Prout - BIO

Brendan Prout began his pursuit of music in first grade on a battery-powered, 49-note Casio keyboard. Like many young students, he relied heavily on his family to nurture and develop a love of the instrument. He fondly remembers playing Irish folk tunes alongside his uncle’s fiddle.

Brendan has engaged in many pianistic styles throughout his musical journey. Alongside formal Classical training with teachers at the Hartt School in his youth, Brendan majored in Music at Boston College and minored in education, where he was a member of the University's competitive Jazz Ensemble and Big Band, BC bOp! He continued on to graduate studies in Music Education at New York University. Today, Brendan serves as pianist/organist and worship leader at the Windsor Locks Congregational Church in Windsor Locks, CT. He has also performed in a duo called "Diomasach" (pronounced DEE-mish), performing a variety of Rock songs and folk/Celtic tunes from North America and the UK..

Music is intrinsically beautiful and joyful, but there is also profound joy in a student overcoming what was once challenging or seemingly impossible. I strive to provide the structure and encouragement to support this experience...
