Dexter Pettaway Sr. - BIO

Dexter received the gift of music at the early age of two. He played throughout his elementary and high school years being noted as the "most musical" person. That expression would later follow him throughout his musical career where he continued to share his music through drums and keyboards.

During college, he focused on jazz studies. After winning Best Drummer and Musician at the Berkley College Jazz Competition, he released an educational DVD entitled "Drummatic". His professional experience has expanded to include instructing drum, sound and recording engineering, musical directing, and producing. Dexter has also recorded, played for and alongside notable artists from diverse genres. Today, he continues to share his passion and zeal for the arts via his band entitled "Dexters Lab." Dexter teaches beginner to advanced percussion in all genres of music.
