Erin Gardiner
- BIO
Erin Gardiner is a music educator and violinist originally from the Toledo, Ohio area, where her musical journey on the violin began at the age of nine. While in Toledo, she studied private violin lessons with retired professor at Bowling Green State University Vasile Beluska. From age sixteen onward, she began teaching private violin lessons from her home and developed an interest in both Suzuki and traditional pedagogy styles. Throughout this time, Erin was active in various orchestras, and chamber groups, fostering a love she had built early on for the community of music. After high school, Erin went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and Music Education from Butler University in Indianapolis Indiana, studying with Larry Shapiro and Melanie Clapies. She continued to teach privately on both violin and viola, and taught in both intermediate and high school settings to complete her degree in music education. In pursuit of her master’s degree, Erin moved out east to Hartford, Connecticut where she is currently studying Violin Performance with a Suzuki pedagogy emphasis under the instruction of Katie Lansdale and Christie Felsing. When she’s not in a practice room teaching or practicing, Erin loves hiking, photography, and trying out a new local coffee shop.
