Andrew Banas - BIO

Andrew became interested in music before he entered grammar school. His earliest influence was his father who played the accordion in a polka band during the 1930s and 40s. With his musical foundation in place, formal training began in the public schools and continued later with private lessons. Andrew studied drums, voice, piano and guitar. While earning degrees in engineering and finance, and despite a long and demanding career in the energy industry, he always made time to perform in local rock and roll bands. He has performed at venues large and small throughout New England, including Foxwoods Casino and the Massmutual Center. He later performed lead roles in operas and musical productions. His favorite roles include the Pirate King from “Pirates of Penzance,” Lancelot from “Camelot'' and Curley in “Oklahoma!” He has also served as baritone soloist at the Edwards United Church of Christ in Northampton and continues to perform at many local churches.

Andrew got his start in music education after becoming a certified Music Together instructor, providing toddlers and their families a diverse and fun musical experience

My Approach to Teaching

Andrew currently maintains a busy performance schedule with his musical duo, Party of 2, in which he sings and plays guitar and keyboards. Andrew got his start in music education after becoming a certified Music Together instructor, providing toddlers and their families a diverse and fun musical experience. He joined Falcetti Music in 2020 as a guitar instructor.
