Yozue (Josh) Davila - BIO

Yozue grew up with musical curiosity at age 10 alongside his brothers, where he began learning piano. Through the years, he began exploring his Latin roots, learning the custom music styles of Puerto Rico, including Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. Yozue jumped into the musical styles of Gospel and Modern Worship music when he moved to Worcester, MA and served as one of their main pianists at CAVN (New Life Worship) Church. He later attended Quinsigamond Community College to pursue a degree in Music. There he began to find a new passion in Jazz, Afro Beat, Neo-Soul, Funk, and Hip-Hop. He wanted to share his love for music with others, so he began teaching in 2018. Yozue wanted to maintain his musical abilities in a constant challenge which ultimately led him to audition for the US Army Band. In 2022, Yozue successfully graduated from the US Army School of Music and is the active Jazz/Latin pianist for the 102d Army Band in Vernon, CT.
